Insolvency & Debt Arrangements

Accumulated debt does not disappear by itself. Israel's Insolvency and Economic Rehabilitation Law gives individuals and companies a path to settle their debts and start over — and gives creditors a path to collect what they are owed.

The earlier you act, the more options you have.

  • Insolvency proceedings for individuals and companies
  • Debt arrangements and settlements with creditors
  • Representing creditors and filing proofs of debt
  • Defence against collection proceedings

Frequently asked questions

Who can open insolvency proceedings?

Both individuals and companies, and a creditor can also apply against a debtor. The conditions are checked in a meeting.

Are the debts erased at the end?

At the end of a successful process a discharge from some or all debts may be granted, under the conditions set in the proceedings.
